new beat = nothing ! new project = olé

Unfortunately Pigi, the avertable non-plus-ultra drummer, was that undependable, that we quit to make music with him. There were several great sessions, but we weren't keen on: being not quite sure if the drummer appears or not! That's definitively shit! We can image to play with him again someday, but first when he get it together.
Since then, Fabi and I are still making a lot of music. Sometimes we had some jam sessions with others. But we wanted to make something with a drummer. We are jinxs as for drummers.
We also had a very amazing jam session with Franck. Recently he asked us if we like to start a samllish project with him! "Yeah, great": we said. And that's what we're doing now.
Franck used to play with Disco Doom. At the moment he's playing mainly with Demolition Blues. They're still recording. But he's the time and the enthusiasm to do that thing with us. Super!
So we are currently preparing a set which we can play already soon on stage. We also consider to record some noises. We'll see...

New Beat

Before you could turn round, everything has changed...

Suddenly we had to decide between two very creative and good drummers. Wow!!
Through relations we became acquainted with Pigi aka. Christian. We already knew him on bowing terms, because he lives in the environment. And I remember that we had a jamsession about two years ago. But since then much has changed. Since a fairly long time his doing such a kind of jazz school. And already the first new jamsession with him, two weeks ago, was an experience.
The other drummer, Fabio, wrote us because of an ad in the internet I wrote some time ago. We also played a jamsession together. Very kul. Rock. Untill now he used to play in an alternative Rockband. But he's looking for something new. Nothing lukewarmly. He's from St.Gallen, but he's often in the environment because of his job and his girlfriend. He's ten years older then Pigi.
Both drummers are fantastic. We never used to play with such great musicans.
Eventually we decided to play with Pigi. He's in the same age group. And like we, he's a kind of naive. Unspent. Another advantage is, that he lives so close to us. Thank you Fabio for playing with us. It was fun.

Now we're expectant, what we'll bring forth......to be continued

Indian smells, Indian vibes

Next Monday (the 27th of december) Fabian will be back from India. He stood there for two months. Two months of different experiences, separate influences and just some few communication.
Now we want to join and exchange our minds. We're keen to start a new project with a wide spectrum of ideas and translated visions into action. Unfortunately we didn't find some more musicians, with who we can imagine to play, yet. No matter! We continue as a combo. But we like to join someone who makes projections of different kinds. Someone who transform our musical sonics into visual moments. So, we're expectant what the near future brings with itself.

Tape (Autumn 2005)

Remarkable Rocket & Dr.Rhytm

This short tape (2x15min) includes just some ideas all over the minds of the two musicans. After they canceled their band "Nautilus on Space Holiday" in spring 2005, they arranged themselves to a combo. Among other things, they want to reach different people with this tape.

Side A starts with a hypnotic rockjam. Dr. Rhytm hits the beat while a completely destorted organ rides on the groove of a fuzzy bass. The second part of side A consist of a sonic collage.

Side B is calm. It starts with an alternative tune played by accoustic guitar, Rhodes and Djembe. The voice seems to float. The last song of the tape is a warm, intensify piece which starts in the nothingness and ends in the dust.

recorded with a 16-track analog tape recorder
and mixed down on a DAT tape.
